Where Am I?

I've received some emails asking where I am, what I'm doing, and why WebPlex hasn't been updated with any new poetry, music, or videos.

First, let assure you that I have not given up on the WebPlex project.  Supporting poetry, literature, and music is one of my lifetime endeavors.   After almost 15 years, WebPlex has considerable content.  But sadly, it's extremely time consuming to maintain and update in it's current form.

Next year in 2013, I intend to move WebPlex into the WordPress platform using iThemes Builder, which is literally like WordPress on steroids.  I'm currently using Builder on several other projects and really can't say enough about it (sorry, no sales pitch intended).

I'm also spending time with Target Reviews and getting ready to do a major push in 2013.  The concept has been well tested for nearly two years.  So far, I think Google likes what I'm doing with Target Reviews as it seems to rank my pages well.

I have two new niche sites that I'm developing.  One is for The Coffee Connoisseur.  I've always been a coffee drinker and lately have ventured into gourmet coffee - it's a whole new world.

Our local wine club is also getting a website with a face lift called Dusty Bottle Wine Club.  The name is so befitting the group as we meet once each month and each person brings an old dusty bottle from their cellar.  It's a chance for us all to drink some high-end, expensive wines we've been collecting.

But the huge project in 2012 has been the coaching/education program.  I've been working with many students and getting some great results.  They're learning web design, WordPress, and even a bit of PHP and HTML.  I truly think I've found my passion.  Well actually, teaching was always my passion, since my early days of teaching Mathematics at Ohio University.

So I conceived and founded Syndicated Riches which is a community of people that work together and help each other with experienced, successful people acting as mentors.  The site is currently in BETA testing and we're still accepting applications for BETA testers.

Why a Blogger Account?

I've received a few emails last week asking why WebPlex has a Blogger account and why can't we just have comments on the WebPlex pages themselves.  I'll try to explain in what follows...

WebPlex was first conceived and initiated in 1998.  At that time it was created using a program by Microsoft called FrontPage.  MS-FrontPage creates very basic HTML code.  To get some of the features and functionality you see on WebPlex took quite a bit of hand editing of HTML code over the years.

As such, incorporating comments and discussion features into WebPlex would be a major undertaking.  We have thus decided to move WebPlex into the WordPress platform as a long term solution.  But this too is a major undertaking for a site the size of WebPlex.  So as an interim solution to give our visitors an outlet for discussion we have setup this Blogger page.

You may have noticed that we've removed our email addresses from WebPlex thanks to the many spammers that decided to send us hundreds of emails a day.  Eventually, WebPlex will also have a contact and support ticket form.  In the mean time, please feel free to contact us via the contact form on Target Reviews (our sister site) at http://targetreviews.net/contact-us.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.  But in the long run we believe you'll be happy with the results.

Welcome To WebPlex's Blog Spot

Thank you for stopping by. This site is a satellite of WebPlex where we can post conversations and remarks relevant to the content on WebPlex.

For those of you who haven't been following our developments, I'd like to share with you a new comprehensive review site called Target Reviews.  Be sure to read our current review on the Omron Body Fat Analyzer.  This review is exciting because it's the first review by a guest reviewer - Josh Parker.

I've also initiated my mentoring program to help people learn internet marketing. Right now there is no charge for this program and I'm looking for people that are sincere in building legitimate online businesses. I do not endorse spam of any kind, nor do I endorse any of the dozens of scams intended to game the Google search engine algorithm. I believe if you give Google what it wants, then Google will treat you right.  The only requirement for this program is the willingness to learn and work.

My first student, Jennifer Rhee, has just finished her first micro niche website Home Remedy for Acid Reflux. She did a great job on her first website! Please take a moment to check it out at http://homeremedyforacidreflux.net.

If you'd like to make money writing reviews for Target Reviews, or if you'd like to become part of my mentoring group, please contact me on the Target Reviews contact page.

Sincerely,
